ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES
Every camper must be signed in and out at the check-in table.
Please be prepared to show your child’s identification card to the counselor at the designated check-in / check-out area. You may take a picture of the card and show it on your phone. You may also send this picture to those who are authorized to pick up your child. NOTE: if you need help on how to create your child’s identification card, watch this YouTube Video: Summer Camp Check-In
BULLYING
Bullying is not tolerated at our camp. Please see the Disciplinary procedures below. If your child feels as if they are being bullied, please alert the camp staff as soon as possible.
COMMUNICATION
We know that it is important to keep you informed. We will send a weekly email that includes weekly events and any other information regarding the week your child is in attendance.
CAMP CALENDAR
To view our extra activities for summer camp, check out our camp calendar. This will be available on our website mid April of each year.
DISCIPLINE
First Offense - The camper is given a verbal warning.
Second Offense - The camper is removed from the situation and a discipline report is completed.
Third Offense - The camper has a meeting with the lead counselor and Camp Director.
Fourth Offense - Parents are called and asked to pick up their child.
Fifth Offense - The camper is removed from camp without a refund.
These steps may be taken out of order depending on the severity of the act.
EMERGENCIES
In case of an emergency or accident involving your child, you will be notified immediately by the camp director. Please make sure you fill out the Camp Packet to inform us of any medical conditions that camp personnel may need to know.
FIELD TRIPS
We will be going on field trips throughout the summer. Transportation will be by school bus. If your child is not attending the field trip, they will stay back at camp with a counselor. Field trips must be paid for the day prior to the field trip and are non-refundable.
GROUP BREAKDOWN
Groups are assigned according to age and gender depending on the location.
HOW TO BEHAVE IN CAMP
1. Respect everyone, including camp staff and fellow campers.
2. Follow directions given by camp counselors, directors, and Vetta Staff.
3. Tennis shoes or gym shoes are required (with socks). No open-toed shoes are allowed.
4. No name-calling or horseplay is allowed.
5. Respect other people’s property.
6. Leave all electronics and toys at home.
7. HAVE FUN!
ILLNESS
All Illnesses, no matter how big or small, will be attended to if brought to the staff's attention. If your child should become ill while at camp, you will be notified.
LATE FEE POLICY
There is an additional fee for extended care. If you will be late picking up your child, please know that you will be charged $1 for each minute you are late after camp has ended.
If you are late picking up your child more than two times, you may be charged for a day of extended care.
MEDICATION
Medication needs to be in its original container. It is important that you give it to the counselor at the check-in table. Please do not send more than one day’s worth of medication at a time. Asthma inhalers and Epipens may stay overnight. Please include directions for the staff to administer any medication.
NO ELECTRONICS
Please leave all electronics, cell phones, iPads, iPods, etc at home. If we see them out at camp, we will take them into the office, where you will be able to pick them up at the end of the day. We know all electronics are expensive and we would hate it to be misplaced.
OFFICE
For any camp-related questions, concerns, or payments, please contact the Camp Director.
PLAY
We ask that all campers come ready to play when they arrive at camp. If a camper isn’t enjoying a game the group is playing, we encourage campers to suggest new games to their counselors. Our counselors have a variety of games that campers of any age will enjoy. We’ll do our best to play everyone’s favorite games.
REFUNDS
- Camp weeks are non-refundable if your child missed the week of camp they were originally registered for.
- Ice Cream days and lunches that are pre-paid are non-refundable nor transferable.
TRANSPORTATION
Vetta Charters busses for all field trips. They will take us to and from all field trip destinations. If you need to pick your child up while we are on a field trip, please contact the camp director to pre-arrange this pickup. Children will not be permitted to leave during field trips if no prior permission has been approved.
UNIFORMS
Campers should come dressed for a full day of fun and games. We recommend that each child wear good tennis shoes or gym shoes. Please do not send your child in flip-flops or soccer cleats. All children need to wear socks to camp every day.
WINNING
While we keep score during camp games, winning is not the emphasis of the day, having FUN is! Please make sure your child is having fun and being a good sport, win or lose.
EXTENDED CARE
We provide extended care before and after regular Summer camp hours. Extended care is an additional cost.
